In 2009, King + King Architects took a leadership stance in advancing sustainability by refurbishing an abandoned warehouse into their new headquarters. The structure is now a showcase for green design in practice and have opened their doors for learning tours and community functions – so the public can see firsthand what is possible.

King + King was the first LEED-Platinum (NC) certified building, at it’s high level of sustainability, in Central New York in 2011 – putting them in an elite group of the top two tenths of a percent of organizations internationally who have achieved this status. Their property includes cutting edge sustainable features that encompass: air quality, day lighting, roofing, heat reduction, ventilation, flooring, restrooms, parking areas and equipment.

Visit King + King Architects on April 23rd to see how green design is being implemented today. They are also open for tours to the public all year round.
