Do you support building more nuclear plants? Please explain.Nuclear energy is not a long term, safe energy solution. Transitioning away from fossil fuels is a priority and nuclear energy plays a role in that transition. That stated, I have a strong preference to not build additional plants.

New York State has enacted one of the most ambitious climate changes laws in the nation, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. How would you support its implementation?It needs to be funded properly. I would support and demand that any project receiving public tax dollars, has energy saving and clean energy practices built into their plan.
Energy Conservation through efficiency standards and building codes is essential to lower greenhouse gas emissions. How would you support these efforts?I’m open to listening to suggestions on this issue.
If elected, what steps would you support to address global warming at the state level?I would continue to support initiatives included in the new clean energy law, look for ways to expand it and place pressure on our federal representatives.
Would you support banning fracking for oil and natural gas in NYS?Yes. Fracking is dangerous. I stand against it under all circumstances.
Would you support divestment from the fossil fuel industry by the State Pension Fund?I support the Comptroller to make those decisions and believe that eventually, divestment will occur.
